With 2010 right around the corner, let’s revisit some great and not-so-great movies this year (and future)…in poster form! While some may have not lived up to your expectations after the marketing blitz, alot of artistic merit can come from a solid poster design that inspired you to see the movie in the first place.

Tim Burton continues to meld his dark fantasy style with classic tales as displayed by several concept art and photos posted on USA Today for the upcoming film adaption of  Alice in Wonderland.  The story is being billed as more of a sequel than a direct adaptation:

Today m@m’s got two character posters for the upcoming 2009 Film Sherlock Holmes featuring Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law as Dr. John Watson.  The film opens Christmas Day.  We’re sure to get more of these!

Astronaut Sam Bell only has two weeks before he can return home.  Having spent years on the moon in solitude with his robot Gerty mining the precious energy resource Helium-3, he begins to experience severe headaches and hallucinations.

Six new character posters were released today which include Harry Potter, Albus Dumbledore, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, Draco Malfoy, and Severus Snape.  Set for a July 17th, 2009 release, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth installment in the film series.  The previous film, Order of the Phoenix, raked in almost a billion dollars worldwide.  Click Hermione below to head on over to our flickr for the res of the posters in high res.

Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the trailer on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” this morning and it can now be found all over the tubes including below or over at Apple for High Definition using QuickTime.  The teaser poster was also made its way to us earlier this week.
