The folks over at thedesigninspiration.com have collected some of the most flattering works across all genre’s from this year’s flicks.

Based on the 1963 children’s book, written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak, Where the Wild Things Are stars Max Records as a young boy sent to his room without his supper.  Angry, he begins to imagine his surroundings turn into a jungle filled with large monsters who crown him king. The film, directed by Spike Jonze releases October 16, 2009.

“The traditional tale has been freshened with a blast of girl power, courtesy of writer Linda Woolverton (Beauty and the Beast). Alice, 17, attends a party at a Victorian estate only to find she is about to be proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty society types. Off she runs, following a white rabbit into a hole and ending up in Wonderland, a place she visited 10 years before yet doesn’t remember.”

Featuring Mia Wasikowska as Alice, Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as the White Queen.  The release date is currently set at March 19, 2010.

Tekken 6 features 40 characters and will be releasing stateside October 27, 2009 for the 360 and PS3.

The new assassin Ezio, is out to avenge his lost family who were killed in a feud with rival famlies.  All sorts of new mission types,  gameplay elements, and weapons are promised.  Gamers can also expect to use some interesting devices from a little known inventor by the name of da Vinci as Ezio traverses Italy during the Renaissance era.

“Our creative team is working hard to top the experience of Assassin’s Creed,” said Patrice Desilets, creative director at Ubisoft. “We’ve made improvements to every aspect of the game. And we’ve plunged ourselves into the stunning history of the Italian Renaissance so that we can offer fans a unique, varied and innovative Assassin’s Creed experience.”

Tekken 6 was released in Japan arcades way back in 07 but will be hitting stateside October 27, 2009 for both the 360 and Playstation 3.  The console version will feature 35 returning characters and 6 new ones.

The film premiered at 2009’s Sundance Film Festival to mostly positive reviews.  Sony Pictures Classics plans a limited release for the film June 12 in New York and Los Angeles with a wide release not too far down the road.  We have the poster below the trailer and it will sure mess with your eyes.
